Description
Rays of heavenly sunlight emerge from the clouds as seen on westbound Interstate 10 as it travels in a northwesterly direction toward downtown Tucson, Arizona. The light from these rays can be seen illuminating the Tucson Mountains in the background.
Interstate 10 is the most southerly transcontinental interstate in the US, travelling from Florida to California. The stretch through Arizona links the state's two biggest cities, Tucson and Pheonix, and is heavily trafficked and often complained about for its potholes, truck traffic, some accidents, and delays. However, as seen here, beautiful views of the skies of the Sonoran Desert can be seen and appreciated from anywhere - even this urban freeway.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment! I have done photgraphy for a long time. The painting is much newer but I enjoy both in their own way!

You know me and clouds, especially with scene of rays coming through them. Yep, the illumination on the mountains adds glory to this already wonderful scene Chance. F/L/TW.

Certainly a roadway to grandeur with this one, Chance! I love crepuscular rays in such a cloudscape. Absolutely gorgeous, as it hovers over the Tucson Mountain Range. Cat Mountain prominently to the left. Amazing that the interstate wasn’t more crowded. I hope you weren’t driving with this one. Beautiful sunset, captured. Moments to take notice of and to treasure. LF Janet 💕
