Title
Spring Comes to Southern Arizona
Artist
Chance Kafka
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
I have painted the Santa Catalina Mountains as seen from just east of Tucson in Saguaro National Park. The Pusch Ridge, Finger Rock and Mount Kimball, still with a bit of snow from a wetter than average winter season, tower over the gentle rolls of the Sonoran Desert and its diverse vegetation.
Normally a brown, dry and stark landscape, patches have exploded with vivid colors - a rare sight in southern Arizona and the sign that spring has come.

Hi Chance, I believe that this wonderful creation is my new favorite from your gallery! Love this very much! L/F.
Chance Kafka replied:
Thank you so much, Ben. It is one of my larger paintings. It is of one of my favorite mountain ranges so it currently has a nice home on the living room wall. I appreciate the nice comment!

So bold with the warm of the foreground and the cool mountains and sky...and as always, love the birds
Chance Kafka replied:
Thank you so much Jim, I was definitely going for that contrast! And yes, birds do find a way into almost all of my paintings.

Beautiful, Chance ... love the contrast of spring flowers in the foreground and winter snow on the mountaintops!

Love the explosion of Spring colors across the foreground landscape! Beautiful painting!
