Description
Late day afternoon light illuminates leaves on a fall path atop Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona. One might not imagine a scene like this existing in the state of Arizona, especially just a matter of miles from saguaro - laden desert and a high of 90 degrees, but it exists.
Leaves on the path less taken are soaking up the rays of the late day sun here, as it peaks through the aspen, pine, and fir trees. This landscape is one of solitude and quiet peace that the autumn provides. Foliage abounds in these mountains (most of it Coronado National Forest Land), and demonstrates the diversity of the Sonoran Desert and Madera Sky Island Mountain chains of the American Southwest.

Beautiful Chance...is this a non-enhanced Photograph? I would have never suspected to find such Colour range in desert foliage...there are even purple-blue tones? Wow!

Basically, Laurel (aside from slightly enhancement I always do). This photo was taken high in the mountains above Tucson, over 8,000 feet in elevation, so a completely different biome. Thank you for the kind comment!
