Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
This acrylic painting, "Grand Teton Dawn," features the first light of the day striking the snowy peaks of the Tetons near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The cold waters of Jenny Lake shimmer below dramatic clouds as the nearly full moon sets.
This early morning scene of solitude is one that has entranced photographers and artists for a very long time. The wonder the Tetons instill in the viewer is everlasting. It is a scene that really captures the natural, divine beauty of the West and encapsulates the vivid spirit of the state of Wyoming. And there is no better time for a feeling of hope than as the first glint of sunlight breaks the horizon, lighting up the mountaintops.
Along the shore are a couple of trees, and in the corner are of course are my trademark birds.
