Description
Brilliant blooms of Mexican Gold Poppies during springtime are backdropped by the Tucson Mountains near the Picture Rocks area west of Tucson, Arizona as seen from Saguaro National Park - Tucson Mountain Division. Palo Verdes beginning to turn bright gold can be seen in the distance. These poppies adorned the Sonoran Desert during the 2018 super bloom event, jutting out from the rocks and sand after winter rains (and even some snow!) This unique point of view depicts the poppies and mountains in a visually appealing fashion.
