Description
I painted Esterbrook Chapel during a peaceful spring or summer morning The chapel is regionally iconic rustic log chapel in the foothills of the Laramie Mountains with a superb view of Laramie Peak to the south. Esterbrook, located south of Douglas and northwest of Wheatland, Wyoming, is a tiny, isolated community that is home to many weddings and weekly services at its chapel. Laramie Peak, which rises to the south at an elevation of 10,275 feet, is the highest point in the Laramie Mountains and can be seen from nearly 100 miles away in many directions, and is a lesser known but magestic mountain that is the crown of this Wyoming region where the great plains meet the Rockies.
Even though I no longer live in Wyoming, this area will forever be among my favorites.

This little chapel and the memories you share of it speaks to me Chance. The small cross and the repeated symbolism of crosses I am seeing in other areas of the work. Two birds soar high above. This is special and I do think one of my favorites. F/L/TW.
