Sun rays pour over the desert on a wintry Arizona day. Light filters through the stormy atmosphere as rain (and snow) pours over the Whetstone Mountains at the edge of the Chihuahuan Desert in southern Arizona. The sunlight filtering through these storm clouds creates a heavenly effect.
The Whetstone Mountains rise from the high desert floor near Benson in Cochise County.
