Description
Fading sunset light lights up the Pusch Ridge Wilderness area of the Santa Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona as seen from Oro Valley. Monsoon season clouds fill the sky as there is a play of light and shadow on the ethereal, impressionist landscape. Day's end in this Sonoran Desert landscape lights up mountains in bold light while the foreground, adorned with a mysterious trail and Saguaro Cacti and ocotillos, stand in deep shadow in the foreground.
Oro Valley has some of the most dramatic views of the Catalinas, including Mount Lemmon, Window Peak, Bighorn Peak and Pusch Peak. The big monsoon clouds over the desert landscape add to the depth of this nearly ghostly looking peaceful, yet mysterious, painting.
