Description
The regal Saguaro Cacti and interesting cholla plants make great silhouettes in this photo as the sun sets during a vivid, golden evening. A hint of Pusch Ridge can be seen on the left.
Tucson, Arizona is flanked by the mighty Santa Catalina Mountains to the north of the city. Saguaro cacti surround the city in its perch on the floor of the Sonoran Desert that reaches into Arizona from Mexico. This iconic southwestern landscapes features some amazing sunsets, especially during the rainy season (also known as Monsoon season). Although it is a bit early for monsoon season to hit the Old Pueblo, and forecasters say it won't be fore a while, I couldn't help but notice magnificent clouds building up so I had to head out to the area near Saguaro National Park (Rincon Mountain division) to capture these photos of the gold, yellow, and deep blue radiance and glowing heavenly excellence that overtook the the region this June evening.

This is how I so often dreamed of the desert growing up. I love just a hint of light in the landscape, adding mystery to this silhouette scene Chance. F/L/TW.
